CCF Takes Veterans to Swim with Sharks
Carrington Aviation recently fueled up its Falcon 900 aircraft and, in a series of flights facilitated by CCF, teamed up with the Veterans Airlift Command to take three Veterans and their families to the Georgia Aquarium in Atlanta for the “Journey with Gentle Giants” experience. Journey with Gentle Giants is the only opportunity in the world where visitors are guaranteed to swim with whale sharks, manta rays and more. The unforgettable excursion also included a cage-diving experience where some of the Veterans interacted with Tiger, Black-Tip and other types of sharks!
“They all had an absolute blast,” says Emily J. Rossi, Cabin Safety Attendant for Carrington Aviation. “The Georgia Aquarium had been wanting to invite the VAC and Travis Mills to this exhibit for quite some time for this amazing experience.”
On board for the immersive adventure were U.S. Army Staff Sergeant Travis Mills, his wife, Kelsey, and their children, Chloe and Dax, who were joined by father-in-law Craig Buck; U.S. Navy EOD2 Tech Taylor Morris, his wife, Danielle, and their daughter Rosalie; and U.S. Army Master Sgt. Chris Roseberry, his wife, Kelly, and their daughter, Emma. Emily says it’s always an honor to be in the presence of the Veterans and their families, and shares that they often crack jokes and make the flights fun for everyone.
“The very least I can do to repay these heroes for all they've done for me and for our country is comfort them during their travels, serve them delicious food and drinks and entertain their children with fun toys and movies,” says Emily. “Our flight crew is truly fortunate to enjoy memorable moments with Veterans like Travis, Taylor and Chris. These flights are our absolute favorite trips, and one of the reasons we love what we do here at Carrington!”
