Carrington House: Updates on the Homes for the Miles, Melancon and Jernigan Families

December 21, 2020

We are very pleased to provide some updates and share some pictures on our Carrington House projects. Here’s the latest news on each home, courtesy of Clay Morgan, VP, Facilities:

Melancon Project:
As noted in last month’s update, U.S. Army Sergeant Matthew Melancon officially moved into his new home – just in time for Thanksgiving (as pictured above). As of now, all of the interior work has been completed, and we are wrapping things up with the rear deck (pictured below). This project should be complete before the beginning of the New Year.

Miles Project:
We have recently finished the installation of the roof for the home for U.S. Army Sergeant 1st Class Matthew Miles and his family, as well the exterior stone work. The insulation on the interior has also been completed. We expect drywall to begin by the end of this month.

Jernigan Project:
The lot clearing and grading have been completed on the site for the home for U.S. Marine Corporal Michael Jernigan, and forming for the foundation has begun. We are still projecting that this home will be completed in June 2021.
