Carrington House So Far in 2021
Carrington House currently has two new homes under construction for our deserving Veterans. In June of last year, ground was broken on a home for U.S. Army Sergeant 1st Class Matthew Miles and his wife, Maria. In October, CCF found a great site in Northern Virginia for U.S. Marine Corporal Michael Jernigan and his wife, KimberLee; and construction on their new home began soon after. Thanks to Clay Morgan, VP, Facilities for Carrington Mortgage Holdings, for updates on these projects and photos of the progress.
Miles Project: Interior drywall and texture is complete, and interior cabinetry has begun. Interior stonework and tile work in the showers is in progress. Although weather and trade delays have pushed the completion date back a bit, we hope to make up some ground as we make progress on the interior work.
Jernigan Project: Foundation work is complete; and framing has begun. Although some recent storms on the East Coast have slowed the progress down somewhat, we’re hopeful to recapture some momentum in the near future.
Also, we’re happy to report that the Carrington House home for U.S. Army Sergeant Matthew Melancon is complete. As soon as the weather clears, professional photographers will visit the home and take photos of the house and the work that has been accomplished for this deserving Veteran.
