CCF Stamps Out Hunger

May 20, 2018

Carrington Associates responded in a big way to the national Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive on May 12. Launched in 1994 by the National Association of Letter Carriers, the drive collects donated nonperishable food items to help those suffering from food instability. This time of year also sees shortages at community food banks and local food pantries, and these donations help restock shelves.

Gonzalo Gonzales, Jean Penaloza, and Alfonso Bravo of the Irvine CRES office (pictured below) spearheaded their location’s successful effort to take part in the food drive and donated over 15 cases of food to a local food bank.  Other offices participating and their organizers: Aliso Viejo, CA, headed up by Julie Beamish; Ashburn, VA, by Usha Cheriathundam; Rancho Cucamonga, CA, by Sandy Johnson; St. Louis, MO, by Ashley Rassmussen; and the Ohio CRES office by Alicia Garner.

We’re still totaling the number of cans and boxes donated by Associates so far, and Sandy Johnson in Rancho Cucamonga is accepting donations until Thursday, May 31. The need is always there, so if you want to donate to the cause, you can give online at givehealthy.org.
