The CCF Gala

March 06, 2017

During the past six years, the CCF Golf Classic has become our premiere fundraising event for Veterans, but they need our help now more than ever, so we wanted to do something more. We’re pleased to announce that the CCF Gala will be held on Saturday, June 3, at the Belle Haven Club in Greenwich, CT. The Gala will benefit Carrington House and our Veteran Support Program.

“With our expanding focus on offering Veteran support, we wanted to supplement the fundraising efforts we do on the West Coast and broaden our reach,” said Shelly Lawrence, CCF’s Executive Director of Community Relations. “So we wanted to offer another opportunity for support on the East Coast.”

The fundraiser also acts as the debut of CCF’s more formalized Veteran Support Program, a newly-launched initiative to continue CCF’s mission of creating Purpose and Prosperity for our nation’s Veterans. And while CCF aims to continue their support of the Veteran’s Airlift Command, they’re also looking to partner with more organizations dedicated to helping Veterans assimilate into civilian life. CCF is already looking at more non-profits, all of whom have like-minded missions with CCF’s purpose and prosperity mission. Funds raised by the Gala will also support Carrington House, which currently has four projects underway.

But the Gala fundraiser isn’t just about money – it’s also about creating partnerships that identify other helpful Veteran resources. “The Gala will enable us to reach out to donors that have some other resources that can help in our mission, because resources aren’t just money,” Shelly explains. “There are several opportunities for our donors to help. In the past, people have donated a car, like we auctioned off for Barrett Jackson, they’ve offered job opportunities for veterans, and they’ve even helped us develop programs to get jobs for veterans.”

The Gala will feature a cocktail hour, dinner, Veteran guests, featured speakers, and a silent and live auction. We look forward to this new fundraising event, and as always, will be looking to our Associates for support as we venture into new charitable territory. For more information, please visit
