The 2018 CCF Golf Classic

September 20, 2018

Carrington Charitable Foundation’s yearly charity golf tournament has raised more than $16 million since the first event in 2011. This year’s 8th Annual Carrington Charitable Foundation Golf Classic is on Monday, October 8, 2018, at The Resort on Pelican Hill, Newport Coast, CA. The purpose? To raise money to provide support to our nation’s Veterans as they seek mobility, stability, purpose, and prosperity.

A major focus of CCF and the golf event is our Signature Programs, including Carrington House. Since 2014, we have completed 20 custom, adaptive homes for wounded Veterans, with two more currently in progress and a third in the planning stages. The Golf Classic also helps CCF provide funds to the Veterans Airlift Command, The Honor Foundation, and the Travis Mills Foundation (see a profile of Travis Mills in this month’s newsletter).

The Golf Classic has become a premier event that the entire Carrington family enjoys. But it’s also an inspiring and powerful day of hope, change, and support for our nation’s wounded Veterans, who need a boost as they transition back into civilian life. The day starts with an 18-hole round of golf and ends with a banquet and silent auction of themed gift baskets created by Carrington Associates and donors. Our Golf Classic has gained such a positive reputation, it was named the Top Golf Event in Orange County for two consecutive years by the Orange County Business Journal.

The Golf Classic is special and meaningful to so many, but we couldn’t make it happen without the help of our generous sponsors, guests, participants, and volunteers. Whether you’ve previously been a part of the Golf Classic, or if this is your first time to participate, just know you’re helping to make a lasting difference for our nation’s Veterans.
