It’s Never Too Soon for Golf
It’s never too soon to gear up for the 7th Annual Carrington Charitable Foundation Golf Classic, taking place on Monday, Oct. 9, at The Resort on Pelican Hill. Now in its 7th year, the Golf Classic has become a premiere event the entire Carrington family enjoys. But most importantly, it’s an inspiring and powerful day of hope, change and support for our nation’s wounded Veterans. Proceeds from this yearly fundraiser go directly toward helping our wounded Veterans as they move back into civilian life, offering diverse support for Veterans by providing the Mobility, Stability, Purpose and Prosperity these heroes need and deserve.
With the money raised by this terrific tournament, CCF can continue to build homes for catastrophically wounded Veterans through CCF's Carrington House program, giving them a home they can call their own. In addition, proceeds from the tournament also support the Veterans Airlift Command, which provides transportation to and from medical treatments for our wounded Heroes and their families through a national network of volunteer aircraft owners and pilots. The Veteran Support Program focuses on easing the transition for our Veterans back to a civilian life after service by supporting Veteran-led entrepreneurship opportunities, as well as other like-minded nonprofits that are working in the same space to improve Veterans’ mental health and mindset.
With the help of generous sponsors, guests, participants, and volunteers, CCF has raised more than $12 million to date at its Annual Golf Classic. Additionally, for the past two consecutive years, the Golf Classic was named Top Netting Golf Event in Orange County by Orange County Business Journal.
