Boxes for Our Troops/Form a Team!
We know everyone is excited about the Boxes for Our Troops Challenge – after all, who wouldn’t want to honor our nation’s active Veterans, and get breakfast and lunch catered by the Executive Team? The key to winning the Challenge is having a good team, but how can you put one together? We have some suggestions:
1. Canvas your co-workers: Reach out to people you share office space with, and see if they’ll be willing to participate. Plus, you might even make some new friends.
2. Ask fellow department members: Your team can be created outside of your innermost co-worker circle. Look through the company directory, and see who else works in your department that might be up for the Challenge.
3. Try fellow office members: Maybe you see people in the breakroom that aren’t in your department, or you take public transit with others in your office. Why not ask them to be a part of your team?
Another suggestion to get everyone motivated is to try forming teams within your office’s departments. Not only can you work together for the greater good, but you can challenge one another to outdo each other as you put together your boxes.
While the end goal of the Boxes for Our Troops Challenge is to give our active servicemen and women a little taste of home (and a lot of encouragement), we hope you’ll also consider this a teambuilding opportunity, and the chance to get to know your co-workers a little better. When we band together, there’s nothing we can’t do!
