The Holidays are a Time to Give

December 04, 2019

Happy Holidays! In addition to gathering with family and friends, the holidays have also traditionally been a time of reflection. This year, we are profoundly grateful for the wealth of participation we receive from our Associates throughout the year. Because of you, Carrington Charitable Foundation has a distinguished history of working with Associates and deserving nonprofit organizations to give back to the communities where we work and live. This history goes far beyond the annual CCF Golf Classic that, during the past nine years, has raised nearly $18 million for Carrington Charitable Foundation’s Signature Programs, which provide diverse ongoing assistance to Veterans and their families. The examples of Carrington’s service to others are numerous.

Annual initiatives organized by CCF include such events as Boxes for Our Troops and our presence at the SoCal Special Olympics Summer Games. There are also numerous events driven by Associates, such as our participation in the annual Leukemia and Lymphoma Light the Night walk in Indianapolis, IN; the team of Vyllagers who built a home for a homeless family in Ensenada, Mexico; Plano CMS animal lovers who volunteered at the Plano Animal Shelter; and the SoCal Associates whom have served weekly, year after year, at the Someone Cares Soup Kitchen in Orange County. Carrington Associates do so much to help when help is needed.

Although the at-risk and disadvantaged need our help throughout the year, the holiday season is often a time where the needs are particularly great. If you want to help during the holidays, please consider assisting these events and organizations:

Dec. 3:
GivingTuesday is a global generosity movement unleashing the power of people and organizations to transform their communities and the world on Dec. 3, 2019 and every day.
