CCF Grants to Indiana Nonprofit Organizations
Westfield Associates have a long history of supporting local nonprofit causes, such as the annual Light the Night event for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, which long enjoyed support among Associates.
This year, CCF decided to split its traditional $10,000 grant equally among three different Indiana-based nonprofit organizations. The three organizations were No Kid Hungry Indiana, Gleaners Community Food Bank and the Susan G. Komen Foundation 2022 Komen Indianapolis MORE THAN PINK Walk on Saturday, Oct. 8, 2022. Each nonprofit received a $3,333.33 grant to support important ongoing programs that are essential to the Indianapolis community.
For more than 25 years, Wayne Gauck, Senior Analyst, LS Quality Assurance, for CMS in Westfield, IN, has been involved with the Susan G. Komen Indianapolis chapter and participated in the annual MORE THAN PINK Walk – even assisting for a few years on the Indianapolis chapter’s Executive Board. Wayne’s connection began when his sister-in-law was stricken with breast cancer; and soon after his next-door neighbor also received a breast cancer diagnosis.
“When I joined the group, the camaraderie and friendship I saw let me know that this was a worthy cause, and something I wanted to be involved with,” said Wayne. “Over the years, it’s been very worthwhile.”
